DECEMBER 24, 2012 | MERRY CHRISTMAS
And here are some Christmas greetings of Cheka's puppies in the Tahyati kennel in Nieder-Olm (they are going to move to their families during the next days) and of the MbwaMemas in Leonberg (meanwhile they are 3 weeks old and they are diligently exploring the world outside the puppy box)... :)
DECEMBER 20, 2012 | NEWS FROM SILVERMOUNTAIN Cheka's and Mali's puppies in the kennel MbwaMema of Silvermountain are more than two weeks old by now. They are all doing great and thy all have tripled their birth weight. In the meantime, the five puppies have opened their eyes and ears and they are practicing to walk, so that they will soon be able to explore the area outside the whelping box. By the way - they have also sucessfully completed their first deworming treatment...

DECEMBER 8, 2012 | WE VISITED THE TAHYATIS Last Sunday we visited the Tahyatis in Nieder-Olm. By the time of our visit Cheka's and Lela's puppies were 5 weeks old. They have developed very well - they are powerful, very active and absolutely cute! It was great to spend some time with them!

DECEMBER 6, 2012 | CHEKA'S AND MALI'S PUPPIES ARE BORN!!! Cheka's and Mali's puppies were born on Monday, the 3rd of December, in the kennel MbwaMema of Silvermountain close to Stuttgart. The birth was a bit complicated, but 3 females and 2 males have seen the light of day. Unfortunately the third male did not make it. The puppies all have correct ridges and weighed between 470 and 525 grams directly after their birth. In the meantime Mali and her 5 puppies have recovered well after the exhausting birth! They are all doing very well - Mali is caring lovingly for her babies and the puppies are becoming bigger, heavier and more powerful from day to day.

NOVEMBER 30, 2012 | RODENBOSCH LOFTUS A few days ago I got news of Rodenbosch Loftus. He is from the Belgian kennel Rodenbosch, is Cheka's and Zahra's son and lives with his familiy in the Netherlands. Meanwhile, Loftus is about half a year old. He has developed very well and had his show debut at the Winner Show in Amsterdam last weekend. He became 2nd and received a nice report: "Lovely type. Good bonestructure. Lovely outline. Good line of head and earset. Good balance in angulation."
I am proud of Cheka's offspring and I am always looking forward to news of his children! Thanks to Etty for the news and pictures of Loftus!
NOVEMBER 28, 2012 | PUPPIES EXPECTED IN SILBERBERG... The last week of Malis pregnancy has begun in the kennel MbwaMema of Silvermountain. The expected date of birth of Mali's and Cheka's puppies is the 3rd or 4th of December. The pictures below are taken yesterday and they are showing Mali at the 57th day of her pregnancy. She is doing very well, has a round baby belly and only moves if it is necessary. Meanwhile Mali weighs 8,8 kg more than she had before the mating und the movements of the puppies in her belly are clearly observable.

NOVEMBER 26, 2012 | UPDATE Here is a detailed update of the last weeks. Many things have happened since my last entry, but unfortunately I didn't find the time to upload the news here...
Two weeks ago, we visited Lulu's and Cheka's 12 puppies in the Netherlands. At that time they were nearly 7 weeks old. They have developed very well and have become very beautiful dogs with nice heads. Here are a few pictures:

Today is Lela's 3rd birthday! We send best birthday wishes to our great puppy-mummy in Nieder-Olm!
Lela's and Cheka's puppies are doing very well. In the meantime, they are four and a half weeks old, they have developed very well and they are absolutely active. More pictures and information will be following soon...
Mali's and Cheka's puppies are expected to be born in about a week in the kennel Mbwa Mema of Silvermountain. All preparations for the birth of the puppies are made and the anticipation to the puppies grows! We are cossing all our fingers and paws for the forthcoming birth! The picture shows Mali at the 50th day of her pregnancy (it's from about a week ago). At this time she weighed 41,6 kg, that means 7,6 kg more than she had before her pregnancy.
NOVEMBER 6, 2012 | VISITING THE TAHYATIS' This Sunday I got to know the 7 dwarfs in the Tahyati kennel. At the time of my visit, they were 10 days old, had already doubled their birth weight and the first puppies had just opened their eyes! The puppies are unbelievingly cute and they are all doing very well - they are mainly sleeping, drinking and crawling around. Their mother Lela is also very fine, she's in top shape again and cares very lovingly for her babies. Furthermore all family members of the Langs are taking care of the puppies! OCTOBER 26, 2012 | OUR TAHYATI-PUPPIES ARE BORN!!!! Today Lela's and Cheka's puppies were born in the Tahyati kennel in Nieder-Olm! 7 puppies have seen the light of day - 4 males and 3 females! All the puppies are healthy and they all have a ridge - and Lela is also doing very well! I'm very happy that the birth went well and all the puppies and Lela are fine! OCTOBER 16, 2012 | PREPARATION FOR THE BIRTH OF THE TAHYATI-PUPPIES The first preparations for the birth of Lela's and Cheka's puppies in the Tahyati-kennel have been made during the last days! The puppies will be born in less than two weeks and Lela's belly doesn't stop growing... The whelping box has already been built up for Lela, so that she can get used to it and she really feels comfortable inside - but that's no surprise for me, because it looks very cuddly... :)

SEPTEMBER 22, 2012 | LELA IS PREGNANT The ultrasound scan of Lela took place yesterday and resulted in good news: Lela is pregnant and the vet could see 6 embryos! Consequently we are looking forward to at least 6 little puppies at the end of October! All the best for Lela!

SEPTEMBER 20, 2012 | NEWS OF LULU Miranda and Martijn from the Dutch kennel Van't Veluwse Leven have sent current pictures of Lulu. They show Lulu at the 54th day of her pregnancy. As you can see, she is round like a ball and it won't take much longer until the birth of the puppies! We keep our fingers and paws crossed that everything goes well and we are already looking forward to the puppies!

SEPTEMBER 3, 2012 | CHEKA & LELA Last week, the mating of Cheka and Lela took place. Lela lives in the kennel Tahyati of Frauke Lang in Nieder-Olm. She is an absolutely beautiful bitch with a great character and we are so happy that Frauke chose Cheka as father for her first litter! We are already looking forward to the puppies. They are expected to be born in the end of October and they will grow up close to our hometown Taunusstein. We are keeping our fingers and paws crossed that everything goes well!!!

SEPTEMBER 1, 2012 | LULU IS PREGNANT We received great news from the Dutch kennel Van't Veluwse Leven: Lulu ist pregnant - she is doing very well and her belly is growing with every new day. AUGUST 30, 2012 | SIGNORA ROSA & SIGNORE AZZURRO Today I received nice pictures from Italy: The last two puppies, Miss Rose and Mr. Blue, are going to leave the Kifahari Kuzaa kennel today and accompany their families to their new homes. Patrizia took the opportunity to take a few pictures of both of them - just great dogs...
AUGUST 27, 2012 | OUR ITALIAN PUPPIES IN THEIR NEW HOMES Cheka's and Cassy's puppies from the Kifahari Kuzaa kennel are already in their new families. Miss Green and Miss Yellow have sent some pictures of theit new homes:
AUGUST 20, 2012 | HOW WE SPENT THE HOTTEST DAYS OF THE YEAR On friday Cheka, Hannes and me made a trip from Taunusstein to the river Rhine and went swimming together! Usually, Cheka isn't really a "water rat", but because of the heat we were able to make him swim with us - it was wonderful and we all had a lot of fun!!! :)
In the evening, Cheka and me drove to Leipzig, were we were visiting the International Dog Show together with Cheka's mother Vuana, his half-sister Kiruna and his niece Tarou. The judgement of the dogs was carried out by Eliana Tan-Hietalahti from Finland. Cheka was presented by his breeder Claudia Körner, who did a great job - as usual! A big thank for that, Claudia!!! Cheka received a great V2 (excellent) within the tough field of the open class and got a nice show report. Furthermore he became second best male of the show! Kiri, Tarou and Cheka's mother Vuni have also been very successful in Leipzig - warmest congratulations to the great placements on Saturday and on Sunday! We spent the rest of Saturday at a lake close to Leipzig. Since we were both very exhausted from the stress of the day, we fell asleep there immediately. Later we went home to Magdeburg after having spent two weeks in Taunusstein. On Sunday we didn't last at home very long, because it was really hot. So we went to the lakes of Salbke in the South of Magdeburg. Here we met many dogs and Cheka made some new friends, played a lot and we chilled out together.
AUGUST 16, 2012 | TIME TO SAY GOODBYE IN ITALY Our Italian puppies from the Kifahari Kuzaa kennel are today exactly 9 weeks old! They are all still doing very well and have developed wonderfully. Last week, they all got their micro chip and the second vaccination. Now it is time to say goodbye to the Graneris' and to move to their families. Miss Yellow will be the first to leave the kennel - she will move to Rome on Saturday! The others are going to leave during the next week! I am very happy about the great development of the puppies and that they have become beautiful, strong and robust dogs. All of them have had a great puppy time with the Graneris' and a wonderful rearing period - a big thank to Patrizia for all the effort and love that you put into the breeding of the pups and for letting us participate in the development of them by sending many e-mails and current pictures!!! Thank you so much! Best wishes to our little Italian boys and girls! We hope that you will all have healthy, happy and long lives and that you and your families will have lots of pleasure together!!! Farewell little varmits!:)

AUGUST 2, 2012 | VISITING THE RODENBOSCHS IN BELGIUM Yesterday we spent a great afternoon with the Kulowanys and Zahra's and Cheka's puppies in the Belgian kennel Rodenbosch. The puppies are 9 weeks old by now and they are leaving the kennel and taken home from their families within this week! The puppies have been developing very well and they have become very handsome little dogs with wonderful heads. All of them have spent a great rearing period with the Rodenboschs. They have learned and got to know many things and were able to discover a bit more with every new day! That is why they all have become fearless, courious and open-minded dogs with stable characters! It was really great to see that the puppies have been brought up, looked after and cared for very well by their mother Zahra and the Kulowanys and how much love, time and effort was put into the rearing of the pups! I am very grateful for that! Here are a few pictures of the dog-family. Cheka and Zahra were very happy about the reunion and every now and then Cheka curiously approached his children - but all in all he preferred keeping a certain distance to the wild and playful varmints... ;-)

JULY 19, 2012 | ONZE PUPS IN BELGIE Zahra's and Cheka's puppies in Belgium are today exactly 7 weeks old. As you can see on the picture below, they have become wonderful and charming little dogs. Furthermore they are tireless and play and scuffle endlessly...
I am absolutely looking forward to my visit at the Rodenboschs - I am so happy to have the possibilty to get to know Cheka's kids!

This weekend we were visited by Rebeca, a very good friend of mine who comes from Panama and studied Renewable Energy with me. I showed her everything that Magdeburg can offer in relation with Renewables - of course Cheka accompanied our tour... :)
JULY 13, 2012 | I NOSTRI CUCCIOLI ITALIANI They are already four weeks old, our 8 Italian puppies in the kennel Kifahari Kuzaa! All of them are still doing very well - they survived their first deworming and will spend a lot of time outside from now on (unfortunately the weather in Italy is not much better than here in Germany...). JULY 8, 2012 | KIRI, CHE AND DAC SUCCESSFUL IN MEISDORF After a long dog show break we spent a very successful weekend at the Pedigree-Dog-Meeting in Meisdorf. Three dogs of the large Ndoki-family and their owners met at the "Parkhotel Schloss Meisdorf": Etara Kiruna, Dacabo and Cheka. Cheka was starting in the open class and could reach the top result V1 (exellent) on both show days. He was closely followed by his nephew Dacabo who is nearly two years younger and earned an excellent second place (V2) on Saturday and on Sunday! Cheka's half-sister Kiri even topped these results - she started in the intermediate class, received the result V1 (excellent) and furthermore became best female of the ridgebacks! Unbelievable... On Saturday, the showing was evaluated by the Slovakian judge Ludmilla Fintorová, on Sunday the Australian judge Noreen Harris was in action. My sincere thanks goes to our breeder Claudia Körner who has presented Cheka easily besides - without any practicing or ring training! I thank you so much for the great presentation and I am absolutely happy about Cheka's excellent results and about the outstanding placements which are reached by your offsprings over and over again!!! JULY 5, 2012 | HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIMBA SPIRIT B-LITTER Bagira's und Cheka's kids from the b-litter of the kennel "of Simba Spirit" are today celebrating their first bithday! Congratulations to Batuuli Kimani Amira, Bahari Carla, Bahija Lela, Bharani, Byron, Bakari, Bakiri, Bashiri, Butch und Bhubesi Paul! We wish you all the best! Greetings also to the owners and we hope you will have a lot of fun with your great dogs in the furture! Furthermore, we are sending best wishes to Lindenfels to the Trefferts, who are the breeders of this litter, and their three dogs Bagira, Azim and Kimani - three of the nicest ridgebacks I know!!!
JULY 4, 2012 | OUR ITALIAN PUPPIES Our Italien Puppies from the kennel Kifahari Kuzaa are nearly three weeks old by now! The puppies are doing very well - they are growing and growing - so everything is as it should be! They are raised and brought up lovingly by their mother Cassy and the two other females Amali and Dida. Thanks to Patrizia for the update and the current pictures!
JUNE 30, 2012 | PICTURES OF CHEKA'S FIRST OFFSPRING Today I received pictures of Cheka's very first litter, the g-litter of the kennel Nyangani. I am very happy about the pictures, because it is always great to see what happened to the cute puppies. The picture of the left shows the wonderful male Ghobi Pluto who is incredibly similar to Cheka. On the right you can see the female Ginger who is also very beautiful and resembles her father. In the meantime both are 21 months old. Further pictures of the two dogs can be found under offspring. JUNE 26, 2012 | CHILLIN' CHEKA I was just having a look at the old puppy photos of Cheka, when I remarked a photo which was reminding me on a current photo I took in Holland: Cheka is enjoying the sun and "chilling" - remarkably with raised head and closed eyes. Some things never change...
JUNI 21, 2012 | KIFAHARI KUZAA PUPPIES Today I received the photos from Italy! The eight puppies of Cassy and Cheka are one week old by now. They are all doing well and they are growing each day. Cassy is already in a good shape again, what can also be seen on the following photos:
JUNE 14, 2012 | PUPPIES BORN IN ITALY!!! Today the puppies of Cassy and Cheka were born in the Italian kennel Kifahari Kuzaa:
Congratulations to the Graneris' for this wonderful litter!!! The puppies are all in a good health and their mother Cassy is also doing very well. We are really happy about these great news and send best wishes to Italy! Pictures of the puppies will be following during the next days...
JUNE 13, 2012 | HOLIDAY IN HOLLAND Cheka and me have been in Holland at the lake Veluwe over the Corpus Christi weekend. The Surf- and Beachvolleyball Camp of the TSV Bleidenstadt volleyball department took place there - like every year. This year, we were 40 people of all ages. Since Cheka and me had to travel from Magdeburg, we had a longer journey than normally, but we had at least as much fun as every year. We cycled a lot and Cheka obviously enjoyed it to be able to move freely within the camp site all day and to get a few snacks from the other participants every now and then... ;-) We slept together with Hannes, Mimi (my brother and his girlfriend) and five friends of us in one of the big white tents (which can be seen on the photos) - Cheka slept in his kennel and we slept on cots. All in all we had lots of fun and Cheka was happy that he could spend the whole day outside with us. Here a few photos:

JUNE 11, 2012 | NEWS FROM BELGIUM Now Zahra's und Cheka's puppies in the Belgian kennel Rodenbosch are twelve days old! They have just opened their eyes, try to stand up and take their first steps. Zahra cares very lovingly and calmly for her babies!
June 4, 2012 | ZAHRA'S AND CHEKA'S PUPPIES Today I received photos from Belgium! By now, Zahra's and Cheka's twelve puppies are five days old. They are all doing very well, developing splendidly and they are still very calm - but that will change soon for sure... ;)

Zahra is also doing well and she is a great mommy! We are absolutely happy about the news and that everything went so well.
